Many sale attendees came out early Friday morning to hear an update given by Texas Quarter Horse Association Director of Racing Rob Werstler concerning the racing situation in Texas. The group gathered at 8:30 am in the Heritage Place auditorium along with TQHA President Kay Helzer and AQHA President Dr. Glenn Blodgett.

After the meeting, day two of the 37th Annual Heritage Place Yearling Sale began promptly at 10:00 a.m. without a hitch, with hip numbers 296 through 590 selling. 

Oklahoma State University students in the Equine Enterprise class led by Dr. Steven Cooper enjoyed a field trip on Friday that included a visit and tour of the Heritage Place Yearling Sale.

The Oklahoma Quarter Horse Racing Association hosted a reception in the Restaurant and Club immediately following the sale.

The second day of the Heritage Place Yearling Sale's top five sellers brought in $605,000 - 3 being colts and 2 fillies.

Hip #460 TEMPTING CANDY - colt (Tempting Dash-Ranch Candy) - sold for $90,000 by Rick Sumner - Repurchase
